Our Unity Tree business is all about those memories. It’s about personal connections and documenting that time in your life when you were truly connected. Whether it be a reunion, a wedding, a retirement party, a birthday or a funeral – whatever event brings you together – you can save this moment in an incredibly special way with a Unity Tree. Each Unity Tree contains fingerprints of all those people who are connected. Each fingerprint becomes a flower bud on the tree. Then a custom designed background and foreground is created to complete the artwork.

In Connection
This is the original Unity Tree which started the road to the series of connections between people. It depicts the connection between complete strangers who, at some point in their life, served as clients to Greater Los Angeles Advocacy for the Deaf where they received helpful guidance for pressing issues they were facing. It is a gentle reminder that we are all connected in some way, even for just one moment in time.
In Retirement
This tree was painted to commemorate a long career with the City of Los Angeles. The city is depicted as Oz and the scarecrow is waving goodbye to his many years of employment. It contains ___ fingerprints of friends and co-workers who touched the life of the retired man and I understand he cherishes it to this day.
In Worship
This tree is a beautiful reminder of the spiritual connection between church members and hangs prominently in the front of the church. It reminds them not only of their connection to one another but to all of God’s universe. It has since expanded to three panels and continues to grow and to connect the new members to their spiritual family.
In Family
This tree was done for a family reunion to celebrate the grandmother who turned 100 years old. Family members gathered and felt their connection during this most joyous occasion. Unfortunately, their grandfather had passed earlier in the year and was not able to attend. However, he is depicted on the tree as the singing bird happily perched upon a branch. The background depicts the farming community where the family gets their roots.
In Memorial
This tree was painted as a memorial for a much-loved mother who passed of cancer. Her family gathered every Sunday up to the time of her passage. It is a tribute to a strong family unit anchored by the woman they loved dearly and has become an irreplaceable family heirloom.
How it Works
- Our artist prepares a canvas with a sketch of the tree on it.
- The fingerprints are placed on the canvas.
3. The artist turns each fingerprint into a flower and completes the painting

We offer standard and deluxe packages. The deluxe package includes having one of our team members attending your event and managing the fingerprint placement on the canvas relieving you of that additional task.
